Who shouldn’t clean mould

What to wear
When clearing up mold, take precautions to keep your mouth, nose, skin, and eyes safe.
- Wear at least an NIOSH-approved N95 respirator to protect your mouth and nose from breathing in mold. Wear a half-face or full-face respirator if you intend to spend a lot of time removing moldy items or performing tasks like tearing away moldy drywall.
- Keep your skin safe. Put on protective gloves made of rubber, vinyl, nitrile, or non-latex. Avoid using your bare hands to touch mold or moldy objects.
- Keep your eyes safe. Put on goggles that offer total eye protection. Select goggles that are made to block out dust and other tiny particles. You will not be protected from dust and tiny particles by safety glasses or goggles with open vent holes.
